Summary
Dante abruptly drags his hand down his face and makes his way upstairs, shutting the door behind him and leaning heavily against it. At this point, with his demonic half repeatedly butting in with unhelpful and intrusive thoughts, Dante’s got a pretty good idea of what’s going on.
He’s going into rut, and Nero, as a younger, weaker demon than himself, is absolutely in the center of it.

Summary
Nero cared about his hygiene, but not to the point of having an entire morning routine dedicated to keeping himself clean-shaved and nice-looking. He kept himself clean, made sure to shower after every job, the usual.
Except, there’s apparently an entire ‘demon thing’ about cleaning yourself, and it was apparently a somewhat intimate act between mates—which Dante’s demon apparently assumed they were.
So… yeah. Awkward, to say the least.

(Post-DMC5. They're already in the underworld, so what better time to march right up to Mundus' front door and kick his ass, right? Dante figures this should be pretty easy, since he's beat the guy once already--except it's not, because why would it be, nothing in his life has ever been easy. Between Vergil's unstable mental state and their mutual refusal to have a proper conversation, it's going to be a miracle if they even survive long enough to confront the king of hell.)

Summary
V and Nero grow closer in the month they work together between the DMC 5 prologue and game. While V contemplates his existence and current trajectory something neither can control blossoms between them.
Set in a version of DMC 5 where V went with Nero back to Nico and they patrolled the cities surrounding Red Grave City together, training up and testing out Devil Breaker instead of V lingering by himself in Red Grave doing reconnaissance.
