Summary
He looks different—dyed blond hair, new clothes, some stranger accompanying him. Which is wrong, Taerae thinks, then he reconsiders just how long it's been. Summary
“Do you think I would look good with nipple piercings?” Nico asks, staring appraisingly at herself in Euijoo’s long mirror.
Nico pulls her oversized shirt back to be tight against her chest, and because she never wears a bra, her small breasts are prominently outlined, nipples crested against the fabric. Euijoo glances down for a second before trailing her gaze back up to meet Nico’s eyes in the mirror.
“What made you think of that?” Euijoo swallows.
“I’ve been thinking about doing it for a while,” Nico explains, “But seeing Joohee’s piercing reminded me.”
The piercing would suit Nico, and Nico knows it.
“Yeah, you could pull it off.”
Or: Euijoo has been in Nico's orbit for as long as she can remember.

Summary
If Jo had been lying down and facing the wall, then it would’ve been fine. It wouldn’t have mattered that he missed the extra pair of shoes in the foyer, he would’ve been fine leaving the door ajar. Yuma would’ve stumbled in and seen his still form, and assumed he was asleep.
But Jo forgot to lie down and face the wall. So Yuma stumbles in and finds him flinching through an orgasm, catching his release in a Kleenex, sighing out, “Kei-hyung–”
In October of 2018, six hundred and sixty-five million light years away from Earth, a small star was cannibalized in the dark void of space. It was just one-tenths the mass of our solar system’s sun. A postdoctoral fellow at the Space Telescope Science Institute observed the phenomenon for three months, and deemed the entire affair to be wholly unremarkable. There was no funeral.

Summary
“Yeah, why not,” Nicholas says with a laugh of his own, slumping back into his seat with crossed arms, a satisfied cat. “I wear a couple dresses and skirts and whatnot; you tell your uncle your girlfriend can’t speak Korean and then, boom. You and I get to live it up on the beach… Besides, I know how much you miss it there.”
He clears his throat, but his voice cracks anyway when he adds, “What kind of best friend would I be if I didn’t do this for you?”

Summary
It’s been a little over a month since their failed Drift, twenty-eight days since The Incident, and three weeks since they’d last seen each other at all. That had been right before Matthew got sent back to the mainland for additional treatments. And even then, they hadn’t really been able to speak much.
But he’s here now. Shouldn’t that be great?
In the shadows of the Jeju Shatterdome, scientist Kim Taerae and Jaeger pilot Seok Matthew strike up an unlikely friendship, though it inevitably blossoms into something-more-but-not-quite. That is, until one late night experiment threatens to compromise their carefully crafted dynamic for good. The Drift hides no secrets, after all.
