Based on a prompt I stumbled upon on Pinterest. Rey visits Poe and Finn in the big city, and of course they take her to the famous cursed statue. The Lonely Hero is rumored to be a man cursed by a sorceress, and the curse will only be broken if his soulmate touches his hand. This of course becomes the perfect photo and video opportunity for people to touch his hand/kiss his cheek/do whatever. It's a silly little legend that has no base of truth to it at all, right? ... right?
