Zhenya nods, mesmerized by the way he talks, his mouth rounding out the vowels until they are more pronounced than Zhenya has ever heard them in English classes. “You name?” The words spill out before he can stop them, and he knows he has misspoken as soon as the boy’s face scrunches up in confusion. He would be embarrassed, but he is too distracted by the cute wrinkle of his nose.
“My name?”
Zhenya nods.
“Sidney,” he says. “Uh, Sidney Crosby.”

Summary
Erica and Emerson Kent tw: past abuse, tw: child abuse, tw: abuse recovery
Prompt backstory first! The Kent twins home life was incredibly abusive, mostly likely their father (since Erica mentions their mum in her first appearance I’m guessing they’re on speaking terms with her) They both struggled with the fall out of the abuse while they we kids/teens but finally found ways to begin to heal. I imagine Erica throwing herself into all the things that made her happy, becoming the outgoing person she’s implied to be, where as Emerson focused in on how to fix things, how to make this right etc (becoming the detail focused DC we love)
Someone finds out about the abuse they suffered and the Kent sibling expects whoever finds out to be a dick about it, either making too light of what happened to them or suddenly treating them like they might suddenly break. But instead they person who finds out is fantastic about it, giving space when it’s needed, not pressuring but still there.Gen or shippy I’m quite happy.

Fili and Kili are heirs and Princes Under the Mountain. They like being princes - they like the respect and the fancy clothes and sense of being needed. Sometimes though, they forget that they're princes. They've always been taught how to act royal so they never embarrass Thorin too much or make it awkward for him politically... But they grew up as exiled princes, they grew up learning trades and working for money and rolling up their sleeves ect. Sometimes they forget that they're not in the little village they grew up in.
Some of the servants, who have always worked for royals, don't know what to make of the sweet and charming young princes who seem to earnestly want to help and don't see why they shouldn't.
Along the lines of a 5+1 fic, but really it's a 4+1. Told through the POV of one of the palace servants.
