“Depends.” Andrew replied as he tangled his fingers into her messy ponytail. “Is this just something we do now?” He asked, ironically pressing a hand into Ashley’s shorts in the same breath.

Summary
Anya never expected that things would turn out like this.
They had been a crew together for a couple years now and even if she and Jimmy had never really gotten along, he wasn't the worst guy she'd ever met. Until one night changed everything. Her whole life hung in the wrungs of a swatted web left mangled by Jimmy. Everything she knew was turned upside down and all of her aspirations were jumbled in a mess on the floor with the foam left from the crash.

A introspective character observation of Anya from Mouthwashing. The story follows the main events of the story but only from Anya's perspective. With this in mind, there are obviously headcanons mixed in as there are conversations and moments that we cannot know the canon events that occurred based on the limit perspectives of either Curly or Jimmy we get as the player in the original game.

“When? How did I not know? What did he do? I want to know everything.” Andrew’s words were laced with emotion as he stood up from the chair, needing to do something besides sit still in that moment. After he started pacing, he paused for a second to turn and look at her. “Was it like us?”
“It was on Tuesdays and Fridays mostly.” Ashley shrugged a little, watching Andrew as he started pacing. When asked if it was ‘like them’, she could only assume that Andrew meant to ask if it was consensual. “No.”

Ford is back after Stan activated the portal, and they’re both settling as well as they can. Which is, unsurprisingly, not well at all. When Ford tells Stan that he needs to be out of his house at the end of summer, Stan…doesn’t take it very well.
Emotions run high, traumas resurface, and Ford realizes just how much Stan has gone through since they were eighteen. It’s not pretty.
(AKA a rewrite of the ending from ‘A Tale of Two Stans’ with a significantly angstier, yet somehow far more hopeful confrontation.)

It occurred to Ashley from pretty early on that love was earned, never just freely given. That love was something you had to work for. That love was something you had to wring out of someone or else they’d never give you a damn thing. That overall, she wasn’t likable as is, so she had to try. So she tried. She tried so fucking hard. Let’s rephrase, Ashley tried so fucking hard all the damn time to get even an ounce of love.
