Summary
The Captain doesn’t believe in ghosts, certainly not helpful ones that are curiously well-versed in weaponry technology. But when he finds himself haunted by the very thing, it might be just what he needs to impress his superiors. Yet, as this connection develops into something more intimate, he and the ghost of Major Anthony Havers will come to see just how much trouble this could get them into.

Summary
To say that living as a homosexual in the 1940s was a difficult thing to hide would be an understatement. Having feelings for a fellow soldier was an even trickier thing to hide, and to have that secret exposed to that very person was mortifying. However, the Captain didn’t realise that this would change both of their lives forever, literally.

Summary
Being "The Captain" meant Teddy had to be anyone but himself; he had to maintain that stiff upper lip, resist blabbering on endlessly about tanks and maintain full focus. This is what he needed to do to survive. To not get caught.
He was doing a marvellous job of this, he hadn't shown a drop of emotion since the Great War ended. A certain Lieutenant, however, changed this indefinitely.
Despite his futile resistance, his mask had been lifted just enough for someone to see the loveable man beneath it.Bookmarked by phoenixxe

The Captain is stationed at a new headquarters, Button House, during the war. His plan is to keep his chin up, back straight and heart closed off, outdated teachings from his father. But his lieutenant makes that very difficult for him. Not being experienced in the throes of love, he doesn’t at first know what he’s feeling (and can’t tell that his feelings are reciprocated). When logic and reason are discarded for the chance to love without threat for the first time, which side will the Captain choose?

The Captain falls for Lieutenant Havers (and vice versa) but doesn’t realise straight away.

Summary
"Ah. I see." The Captain shifted, "Well, unfortunately Alison, this Mr. E. Bay appears to have deceived you in regard to authenticity of this particular-"
"It's here, look!" Alison twisted the wooden chest around to reveal a small metal plate screwed to its back. Engraved in it, albeit crudely, 'Capt. James Sutton. 72nd Surrey Division, British Army'. "Thats you, right?"
He knelt down to examine the plate, "Yes, that's right..."
"But you don't recognize it?"
The Captain muttered an affirmative and Alison stood up to retrieve a key from the other nearby table.
"Well... how about I just get it open and you can see if anything looks familiar?"
