The ghost story that everyone knows as the Winter Soldier? Turns out, it’s Bucky.
When Steve demands to be assigned to the Winter Soldier case, Fury indulges him. After all, who’d be better at catching a super soldier than another super soldier, right? Steve is good at pulling off stuff nobody else can.
Stuff like restoring Bucky’s memory. Because during one of their encounters, the Winter Soldier puts his finger in Steve’s mouth, and Steve learns the second most important thing in his life.
While Bucky’s mind might not remember him, Bucky’s body certainly does.

The back of the quinjet is cramped and humid, Steve’s fingers and gloved palm stretched over his head to hold onto the ceiling rail. They’re face to face now, chests touching a bit each time the jet trembles with turbulence, and Steve wishes that his helmet didn’t still leave him so exposed.
Bucky's thumb presses in, right between two buckles on Steve’s suit where there’s only a single layer of fabric separating skin from skin, his breath falling hot over Steve’s cheek when his lips part.
“You wearin’ ‘em?”
He stares hard at the broad curve of Bucky’s shoulder and exhales slow, controlled.
“Yes.”

At least putting it that way makes Steve feel slightly less guilty about agreeing so quickly to help Bucky acclimate to his newfound libido—a side effect of weaning off the meds that’d kept him chemically castrated—by offering his hands, his mouth, his body as stress relief.
He’s just being a good friend.

Bucky stomps his way to a stop in front of Steve. Steve looks up at him and smiles. His flat glare is all Winter Soldier, chilling to the bone, but the restless clench of his fists is Bucky. So is the stubborn set to his jaw when he demands, “Let me scent you.”
Without waiting for an answer, he begins to strip off his gear and set it in orderly rows on the coffee table. Derringer, holster, SIG, holster, mag-pouch, IFAK, Skorpion, belt, vest —
Steve’s eyebrows steadily rise. Surely, he thinks, Bucky hadn’t brought all those grenades for him. Bucky’s glare turns murderous when he notes Steve’s bland amusement, but by the time he’s done, dressed down to a t-shirt and cargos, he still hasn’t moved from his expectant spot in front of him, so Steve gathers up his wits and says, “Uh, sure, Buck. If you want.”
And then, without any pomp or ceremony, he’s got a lap full of serum-enhanced super-soldier.

His scarf, a deep violet that Steve absolutely couldn’t pull off, flies up a little, revealing the black bowtie he’s wearing underneath, the wine-colored suit.
Steve has to swallow, once. Twice. It always catches him off-guard, Bucky’s good looks, at odd times: napping on the couch, face tucked into one elbow; flipping a crepe at the stove; during orgasm; here, now. His suit fits him perfectly—not quite tight across his muscular thighs but not exactly loose, either; his shoulders looking so broad compared to his waist. Steve breathes in and immediately regrets it, the pull of the corset reminding him just how much fun he’s planning to have with Bucky tonight.
