Soft laughter bubbled from Zoey, vibrating against Mira in a way that made her hyper-aware of how pressed together they still were. But now, it was different—intentional.

Zoey nuzzled closer, hiding her face in the crook of Mira’s neck. And then, so quietly, she almost missed it.
“I meant you.”
