“What about the counting? That’s a vampire thing, isn’t it?”
Owen sat at a table carved by his own hands, hands that sat clenched in his lap, the scars that traced his skin stretching and pulling with each flex of his fingers. Scott was sitting at the head of the table while Shelby peppered him with questions about vampirism, scribbling occasionally in a small notepad that seemed to be one of the few possessions she had brought back from town – each note accompanied a small ‘oh!’ of surprise as she stared at her previous notes, before sticking out her tongue and scribbling a new one. She occasionally tore out a page, even, letting it catch the air and float back down to the table in what was ending up as less of a pile and more a collection of loose paper strewn about over the table.
Owen’s fingers twitched in his lap. She had torn out 13 pages so far. -

Summary
He hadn’t recognised him, so used to the bone-white hair that had framed his face for so long that the familiar dark curls seemed to him almost like a half-forgotten memory. His eyes were brown again; the only red that remained was the remnant of tears half-wiped away against his cheek.
That was about all Legundo had time to think, before Owen lunged at him.

After he dies, Legundo wakes up.

Except… what?
He blinked hard at the LED display, trying to figure out if the stress and cold had gotten to his head somehow, because he knew for a fact that there weren’t any other trains that passed through his village (or even left from this station at this time apart from the one he was currently waiting for), and yet…
Nope, still there. Another train. Platform two. 5 minutes.
This was… suspicious, probably.
--------
Joel gets on the wrong train. Not wrong as in he didn't mean to get on it - but he definitely shouldn't have.

Dr. Brook: Lyfrassir?
Lyfrassir: [The audio is mildly distorted as they speak, but it is just about possible to make out:] Yes?
Dr Brook: How are you feeling today?
[The figure hunched in the corner, Lyfrassir, hunches up slightly more.]
Lyfrassir: Fine, I- The lights are… too bright.---
What if Lyfrassir survived post-tbi?

Summary
Lyfrassir Edda.
There wasn’t much point in any more than that, any other monikers they might have donned chipped away by time and ever-present isolation. The only reason they really kept much more than just ‘Lyf’ was a desperate attempt to preserve as much Midgardian culture as was left, including the structure and meaning of their name, flowing easily from a tongue well-versed in New Midgardian Norse.
Whoever next spoke their name, if such a person was even out there any more, would stumble on it. Translate it. Shorten it. His was the last mouth that would ever pronounce it correctly again.

Summary
You are everywhere and nowhere and everybody and nobody and everything and nothing all at once.
Your eyes - do you have eyes? If you have eyes (you have far too many, something that is nothing whispers), they see… everything. Nothing. There is everything and nothing to see with eyes that may or may not exist in this place, this place that is not a place that is everywhere and nowhere and everybody and nobody and everything and nothing all at once.
What are you?

Summary
Aziraphale's bookshop was a nice place.
He hadn’t meant for it to become so nice, really. He had intended for a dingy old corner in the back of Soho where he could store his books, and listen to classical music, and nobody would want to come in. And what had he ended up with? Warm lighting, soft furniture, deep reds and rich yellows carpeting the walls and floors: it was possibly one of the most inviting shops on the whole of Whickber Street.
He supposed it had started to become a home. -

SPOILERS FOR PART 15
Shallot hasn’t had an easy time of it so far. He lost all his memories, his brother tried to murder him, his best friend quite literally stabbed him in the back…
But at least things can’t get worse, right? -

Summary
He had a plan, and he would get it done, no matter the cost. He had done it in the past, after all. Cut all attachments. Tie all loose ends.
Well, the loose ends had been tied, it wasn’t Zahha’s fault if they kept coming undone.
(aka Zahha tries to stop thinking about Shallot and very firmly fails)

Summary
The waiters and waitresses who worked at the restaurant at The Ritz weren’t what you would call a tight-knit group.
If there was one topic of conversation, however, which every staff member had at least heard of, it was the matter of the Definitely Not Husbands.
