He should let go of Shane’s hand and leave. A brief visit from the opposing captain is understandable; an extended stay is less so.

He took after David mostly, being shy and introspective. Despite knowing her son’s intricate list of tells and behaviours, Yuna couldn’t pretend she would ever truly know what was going through his head. Shane was like that. He always had been. Still, Yuna expected some cute, pretty girl to come around and throw Shane over her shoulder one day - similar to how Yuna had found her shy husband.

There hadn’t been a whole lot of tape, back then, not on a bunch of kids who were likely to get chewed up and spit out by the KHL, but Rozanov was a special case – his agent had clearly known his aim was for North American leagues, and there’d been a few tapes leaked here and there of the fourteen, fifteen, sixteen year old phenom who had more trick plays up his sleeve than Yuna, personally, thought was true hockey. The video of his spin on the Michigan had made the rounds in David’s McGill email chain, and Yuna had tipped her chin up and sworn up and down he’d be a one-trick pony who’d be flat on his ass the first time he tried that shit in the pros.
Shane had downloaded the video to his desktop and studied the tape like he did old games of Scott Hunter.

He needs to move, maybe get Rozanov’s attention before he loses his nerves.
And then the room tilts. His vision narrows, red light smearing into pink and white streaks. Shane staggers. The beer slips from his fingers. It shatters, foam splashing his shoes, glass skittering away. His knees give out like someone kicked him, and his hands shoot forward to hold himself upright.
His left palm lands in broken glass, though he doesn't feel it. What he notices is the certainty that everyone sees, that they can smell him—something sour and wrong. His scent, despite patches and care, has turned exposed.
OR: What if we took the club scene from episode 4 and had Shane collapse from experiencing Omega Rejection Syndrome after seeing Ilya dancing with someone else?

Shane lingered in the doorway, holding out for the chance that any second now Rosanov would come around the corner and lead Shane back to his bed. That he would help with the feeling of despair and emptiness that had hit Shane the moment Rosanov had taken his hands off Shane and reached for his damn pack of cigarettes.
Refusing to look at him. Refusing to touch him, the space between their bodies felt like it was ten miles wide even as Shane could feel Rosanov’s cum drying on his skin. Usually, Rosanov would at least clean him up before ending their nights together, but apparently Shane wasn’t even worth that courtesy anymore. There was a sudden feeling of hotness behind his eyes at that thought.

He looked over the rim of his glass, eyes immediately landing on Ilya’s laughing face on the other side of the club near the bar. He had his arm slung over Svetlana’s shoulders, her neck comfortably at the bend of his elbow. Shane’s teeth ground together when Ilya used the crook of his arm to pull Svetlana closer, Ilya's head tipping down to place his ear near her mouth.
It was Ilya’s turn to lean in to speak in Svetlana’s ear, a grin spreading over Svetlana’s gorgeous face as she listened to his words.
Shane could vividly imagine what Ilya’s voice would sound like at this point. It would be raspy and rough, like a rumble. He’d heard him sound like that a thousand times and Shane would never be sick of it. It made his chest tight, his heart hammering to think about the way Ilya’s soft lips would brush along his ear. How his tongue would lick up the shell before nipping at the spot under Shane’s ear that made him moan.
But he wasn’t doing any of that. He was talking to Svetlana. His friend.

As she watched Rozanov skate half circles around Shane's unconscious body, Jackie Pike felt her heart race. Her body understood what her brain was struggling to make sense of. A few moments later, she realized that she recognized Rozanov's expression. She'd witnessed it on the faces of other WAGs when their men went down hard and had worn it herself a few times. It was the physical manifestation of her recurring nightmare - seeing Hayden hurt and thinking she was about to lose the love of her life.
