Jack wouldn’t mind being in love with Annie
If it didn’t mean loving someone other than his wifeShe wondered when he’d become something she couldn’t imagine living without.
Okay so i just started writing this. I, like many others, are obsessed with Shawn, and Jack Abbot just scratches my brain in the right way. I haven't really written in years so please be kind. i just had an idea and really wanted to write it down instead of just daydreaming. Also the title is based on the song. It just fits okay.Bookmarked by praisereader

Summary
“what a shitshow,” he mutters as they look down at the city life beneath them, the streetlights and honks from cars and trees in the park across the street. “what a complete shitshow my life is right now, mel.”
“come on,” she says, poking him in the shoulder even as he runs a hand over his face. “it can’t be all bad.”
he glances over, stares at her with eyes that are red-rimmed and tired but still so, so blue. she looks out at the city again, at the lit-up skyscrapers across the river. she’s somehow getting worse at keeping eye contact with him as the weeks tick by - again, he’s her own personal sun, in more ways than one.
“no,” he whispers. “it’s not all bad.”
(or, mel and frank, and the multitude of ways to say i love you.)
written as prompt fills for a tumblr ask game over the past month.

Summary
“What are you doing here?” is what she says when her brain comes back online, and she takes a moment to drink in the sight of what he wears on his day off. The silly “Hi Hungry, I’m Dad” printed across his blue t-shirt would normally give her a giggle fit, along with his unkempt dark hair sprawled in every direction, but nothing feels funny right now. Except maybe her stomach.
Or
Mel and Frank go shopping. (Kind of.)
