“So… Married, not married, any difference?”
They were lying in bed together, on fresh sheets, the plate with the pizza balanced on their thighs between them. Buck had helped him through the shower with gentle touches and teasing kisses, and Eddie may or may not have caught him admiring the bruises that were already starting to bloom on his throat.
“Us, no clothes, a bed, and a cold pizza? I'm pretty sure it doesn't get better than this.”
“How about me choking on your cock? Would that improve anything?”Or: Buck and Eddie thoroughly enjoy their wedding night.

Summary
"You made it!" was the first thing he heard, before Buck's overly enthusiastic form was already snatching up one of his bags. He picked up the other one and entered the loft, feet dragging only a little bit.
Buck's apartment was to be his home for the next… well, indefinitely. Nobody knew when this quarantine would be lifted, nor when the situation would calm down.
A little while later, when he was done freaking out and had changed into his work shirt, he ran into Buck on the way down the stairs.
"Hey, sorry man I-I hope the bed won't be a problem for you, I just assumed–" Buck said a little sheepishly, and Eddie immediately waved him off.
"What? No. Of course not. We've slept together enough times at work," he said, hurrying past him before his poor choice of words could catch up with him.Or: A continuation of S3 wherein we follow the team during lockdown, and find out how they manage to balance work and life during the worst days of the pandemic, and how Buck and Eddie use these circumstances to finally find their way to each other.
Oh and they adopt a dog at one point.Disclaimer: None of them catch Covid, and the bad things tagged mostly happen to other people.

“This is the third fucking time that some random woman has asked me out in the past two weeks. I just want to pick up my son from school without being bothered.” Eddie groaned, dropping his forehead to the table in the loft with a thunk.
Hen smacked the back of his head as she walked past. “Quit whining, Diaz. You're hot. Deal with it.”

“You told one of them you were single,” Buck chimed in from across the loft, looking a little sour. "Single moms are vultures."Or: Moms at Christopher's school keep flirting with Eddie, Buck gets prickly about it, and a bake sale clears it all up.

“Maddie used to get scared of.. of thunderstorms.” Buck wasn't looking at him, but Eddie could see that the memory was fond – a rare occurrence whenever he talked about his childhood.
“So– so I started building forts for her whenever there was a thunderstorm warning. I kept it up, even.. even after she left. The storms were never scary to me, but the forts brought me a kind of comfort I couldn't imitate in any other way. I– I, um.. After yesterday's shift I started missing her even more and I wanted the safety and the comfort and–”

The first time Buck noticed that there was something off about his best friend was at the hospital.
The second time Buck noticed that something was odd about his partner, was during the blackout.
The third time something caught his attention – and the time that he figured it out, hah! – was shortly before Halloween.
Eddie was biting down on his grin, but Buck could see the corners of his mouth twitching up and it wasn't going to take much more for him to break out into giggles.

Eddie let Buck pull him into one more deep, lingering kiss, and he was a little weak in the knees by the time Buck left to greet their first guests.
He was marrying the man of his dreams today.
Somehow, after Shannon, after Afghanistan, after a few natural disasters and catastrophes, after bombs and bullet wounds, the universe had decided to give them a break. Eddie needed to take a steadying breath, or twelve, to get his heart back into a normal rhythm.Or: Buck and Eddie get married. That's it, that's the fic.

“We need to talk,” Eddie said quietly, while they waited for the elevator in the hotel lobby. Buck huffed next to him. “No shit, Eddie.”
“Not, uh, not just about that,” he said, and then Buck was looking at him curiously and Eddie almost got cold feet. If he didn't tell him, they weren't married, right?
He pulled out his wallet, carefully turned it over, and let the rings drop into his hand. “About this.”
Buck, to give him credit, took it better than Eddie had. “No..” he whispered, looking horrified. “Noo! We didn't..”Or: Buck and Eddie wake up with a bad hangover, a marriage certificate and more questions than answers. Eddie realizes he has to reevaluate some things, but life gets in the way.

Eddie stroked a hand through his hair, lightly scratching at his scalp and Buck kind of had the urge to purr. “You're not dying. You're just cold.”
Buck tilted his head up when Eddie leaned closer, but he ignored the lips that were plainly asking to be kissed, and whispered into his ear instead. “And you still smell like turtle.”
Buck spluttered out a laugh. It was true, but, damn. Eddie didn't have to plainly roast him like this.Or: Buck plans a date at the zoo to tell Eddie how he feels, and things pretty much derail from there.

“You and Ana–” Buck rubbed a hand over his face, taking a step back. “Okay, I think I – I need to go.”
“Buck, wait! It's not what you think!” Eddie said quickly, but Buck was already grabbing his jacket and heading for the door.Or: Buck finds a ring, freaks out and Eddie finally gets the balls to propose. Sweet, sappy moments ensue.
