Summary
Knowing about Leon’s job was both a blessing and a curse.
On one hand, you now knew what had shaped him into the man he was today—why he sometimes had that faraway, haunted look in his eyes, why he was so often plagued by these violent nightmares that had him waking up drenched in sweat, his fists tightly clenched as if ready to strike. Why he looked at you like he couldn’t believe something good was happening to him. Why he held you so tightly at night, as if afraid you would be taken away from him at any second. You were touched he felt you deserved to know about these deep, dark parts of his life—parts he no doubt loathed to remember with how much pain they brought him.
On the other hand, you now knew that every time Leon left for work, there was a chance he wouldn’t return.
OR
Leon has told you about his job and the gruesome reality he keeps having to face, and you try to help him in any way you can to live a "normal," joy-filled life when he isn't working. However, life takes a bit of a detour that neither of you expected.

Tommy has fucked up. Look he knows he has. He pushed people away, took his brother's meds, and caused his other brother to have a meltdown. He's done some bad things. But that's in the past and he's doing better. He's made his amends and worked on his self worth. Just because he's fucked up in the past doesn't mean he is a fuck up. He understands that. Now, over a year down the line, things... things are good.
