Dennis locked onto his hair. Trinity had complimented how it framed his face, but here it was a mess. It was long, curling around his neck, too flat, too everything.
A hand twisted the locks at his nape tightly. It needed to go, and it needed to go now.
He sucked in a sharp breath and forced himself to stand, walking to the bathroom possessed by something. It wasn’t long before he held clippers, pulled out of Trinity’s drawer.

“What? No”, Dennis gapes. “I mean, why?”
“I’m being shitty at you, and you’re not even doing anything.”
He frowns and goes get her phone. She takes it and starts typing.
“It’s different. She’s your partner”. And a woman, he doesn’t say.
“You’re my friend.” Her phone receives a text and she types faster, frowning.
“Trin, please—”, she holds a finger up, asking him to be quiet. He gapes, offended, but shuts his mouth.
She types and types, and slowly forgets about tears. Instead, a smile grows wider and wider. Dennis doesn’t know if he should be relieved or scared.
“So,” she says, after sending one last text and putting her phone away. “I have a proposition”.

When Trinity's heat is around the corner, Dennis is sure he'll spend the next week sleeping in the streets. Instead, she finds him a roommate.
