"Why have you got your webcam and mic turned off?" Rin said. He wasn't holding his breath for a straightforward response
Resting his chin in the palm of his hand, Rin watched the bottom of the Skype chat window curiously, noting the amount of times it indicated that Haru was typing, backspacing, and supposedly retyping his response. He knew Haru was someone who chose his words with care, but it was fascinating to observe the process play out in this form—
I don't have a webcam.
—but still nonetheless frustrating.
It's exasperating that the person who Rin missed the most was also the absolute worst at keeping in contact with people in general.
(Rated M for sexual content in later chapters).

It hit Zoro then, that when it came to himself, Sanji was a master at talking very much but saying very little.
A small gesture has Zoro seeing Sanji in a whole different light.

Summary
“Anyway,” Zoro continued amid Sanji’s silence, “I’m not going to die.”
Sanji made a scoffing sound. “You can’t just decide that, asshole,” he said, tying off the thread. He trailed his fingertips over the jagged seam, checking for any imperfections. “You can’t cheat death.”
“We’ll see.”
To Sanji, Zoro is an enigma. An infuriating one, but one he is drawn to nonetheless. For as much self-assurance Zoro appears to have, Sanji has about as much self-doubt. If he can just understand what goes on inside that mossy head of his, maybe he can figure a few things out about himself as well.
Discovering that there might be something other than rivalry brewing between them, is something Sanji isn't quite prepared for.
(Rated M for explicit language, canon-typical violence and sexual content for later chapters).

Summary
“I can’t decide,” said Sanji, pausing to exhale a slow stream of cigarette smoke, “whether it pisses me off, or endears me to him in some kind of fucked up way.”
Usopp looked up from his sketchbook to stare at him.
“Who and what are we talking about?”
“That shitty mosshead,” Sanji mumbled into his fingers as he took another drag. “He never calls me by my damn name.”
Sanji learns something new about Zoro. He doesn't take it well.

Summary
Kazuya gritted his teeth. He hated disappointing Eijun more than anything. And after dating for nearly eleven years, Kazuya really thought he should be better at not doing it by now. In fact, it happened so infrequently these days, that Kazuya had naively convinced himself that this kind of upset was behind them, back in the past when he’d been a dumb teenager still figuring himself out, never mind other people or relationships. Eijun was his best friend, his partner—both on and off the field. Kazuya should be an Eijun expert by now.
And yet, something as simple as a forgotten song had left him swinging at air.
It's New Years Eve, and something has Eijun down. Kazuya is determined to figure it out.

Summary
“Idiot,” Kazuya managed to force out, still winded from having the full weight of his battery partner crash into him, causing them both to tumble gracelessly to the ground. “Did you seriously trip over air just now?”
Sawamura groaned above him in response. The sound reverberated against Kazuya’s neck where Sawamura’s face was now inconveniently nestled. Kazuya held back a shiver.
And this was the other reason why this situation was less than ideal for Kazuya.
Kazuya didn't think this situation could get any more awkward. Then it did.

“What the fuck am I looking at?”
Zono turned wordlessly to look at him, gaze full of silent despair, and then turned back miserably to take in the scene again as though he had no other choice but to suffer.
“You shouldn’t have come here,” Nori said in a grave voice.
Kuramochi had to agree.
Curiosity gets the better of Kuramochi and a few other members of the Seido baseball team.

Summary
What stood before Kazuya now was this.
It was top of the third. Seido were leading with two runs to zero, and the current count was two and one. No outs. Kominato was at bat, Kuramochi had just stolen third, and Miyuki Kazuya was in love with Sawamura Eijun.
The consequences all of which he would deal with later.
It’s a summer training away game for Seido. A few months before the third years retire, weeks before the summer tournament, and mere moments before Kazuya finally does something about his feelings for his battery partner. Only, the moments keep getting away from him, and Kazuya isn’t really trying to stop them.
As always, it’s baseball that ends up making the call for him.

Summary
Satoru is confident that he has fastballs down. Friendship though, is a work in progress. He thinks he and Sawamura might be friends. Probably. It's hard to tell when Sawamura spends most of his time threatening to steal Satoru's ace number. He thinks Sawamura and Miyuki-senpai might be friends too. But Sawamura seems cagey about that topic, and Miyuki-senpai is acting stranger and stranger around him and Satoru by the day.
One thing Satoru is sure of though, is that Miyuki's reactions towards Sawamura getting up in Satoru's personal space, are becoming increasingly more amusing.

“Would you like one?”
Kazuya really didn’t. Truly. He didn’t much like sweets at all. But it was also hard to say no to Sawamura. Even when it came to things other than pitching. And for some reason, Kazuya’s brain kept reminding him that Sawamura had been sharing this candy with Furuya.
Sleep deprivation was making him weak.
“Fine. I’ll try one.”
Kazuya didn't eat sweets except in extreme circumstances. It turned out this was one of them.

“I can’t kiss Miyuki Kazuya!”
“I’m daring you to ask him, not to actually do it. The point is that he laughs at you. Which he will.”
“I don’t want that either!”
When a truth or dare game goes awry, Eijun finds himself outside Miyuki’s dorm room late at night and armed with a dare of Kuramochi’s devious design: to ask Miyuki Kazuya if he can kiss him.
Eijun thinks he would rather fall off the mound again at Koshien.

Summary
All within the span of a year, Miyuki Kazuya became a master of deception and a brilliant forger. He skillfully conned millions of dollars worth of checks as a Diamond Air pilot and a doctor, becoming the most successful bank robber that the country—and possibly the world—had ever known.
Sawamura Eijun, a determined, relatively new FBI agent still making a name for himself, makes it his mission to put Kazuya behind bars.
But Kazuya not only eludes Eijun's attempts at catching him over and over again—he revels in the pursuit.

Summary
Sawamura would bite down on his lip with a smile that was close to feral and with an intensity in his gaze so luminous, that it burned in Kazuya’s retinas long after he closed his eyes at night.
So Kazuya was never concerned at the sight of freshly bitten lips on his ace pitcher. It was usually a sign of a good game ahead for their battery. A good omen.
On the night before a big game for Seido, Miyuki finds himself tangled up—in more ways than one. Sawamura is there to help him figure a few things out.
