Summary
In a world where omegas require a letter of recommendation to be accepted into the military, Johnny's widowed mother is desperate to stop him from joining.
In an effort to dissuade him from signing up, she ships Soap off to spend the week sleeping rough with Ghost, an ex-colleague and mysterious SAS soldier who lives alone in the woods.
Soap thinks he's about to take advantage of a lonely old alpha in his isolated little cabin.

John took this moment to examine Mr. Riley's features. Although partially obscured by the lack of light, he noted how his furrowed brows created wise wrinkles on his forehead. His crow's feet were more visible now that he wasn't wearing glasses. The harsh angles of his face and the scars associated with his profession were weathered down and softened by years of domesticity.
If Mr. Riley wasn't his best friend's dad, he wouldn't mind pursuing him.

Summary
He didn’t have much time in his thoughts because a wet feeling on his palm stole his attention, Soap biting his lip to keep a moan from slipping through as he watched Ghost lick the sweat up off his palm, bringing it to his lips from where it had been pressed to his heated brow.
If Ghost was this far gone Soap didn’t have a choice.
He was burning up and his heart was racing, and if Soap didn’t do something to stop both of those things then Ghost wouldn’t last to exfil, and the only thing that could do that was to give Ghost’s body what it was tricked into wanting.
He needed to be bred, specifically to be knotted.
And Soap was the only one here to do it.
OR
When Soap and Ghost encounter an experimental drug while in the field, one that can mimic a heat in feline hybrids, Soap has no choice but to do what he has to to get them both out alive. If that wasn’t hard enough, his hidden feelings for his superior won’t make anything easier.

Summary
Soap paused, picking up the pen. He looked over his list. Three columns, “yes”, “no”, and “maybe”. He pulled the paper close. Hesitating, he underlined a single item, then crossed out the rest of them one by one. When he finished, he looked back at Ghost, as if daring him to say something about it. When Ghost didn’t, Soap pushed the paper over, crossing his arms over his chest.
Underlined was “kneeling” under “yes”, the only thing left on the page. It didn’t matter what the other “yes” items had been, they were very clearly in the “no” column now.
Ghost forced himself not to feel frustrated, had to admit to himself that Soap might be the most challenging sub he had ever had assigned into one of his units.
