Summary
' Bakugou taps the side of his mug with his fingernails, confusion, maybe frustration- in the varying rhythm and speed. It sounds like muted windchimes, like the birds from just that morning if they hadn’t had anything to say. Denki looks up to see Bakugou’s spaced out face zoned in on his hands, almost admiring the craftsmanship that it takes to peel a mandarin.
He takes a breath and looks Denki in the eye.
“You dont need to fucking pretend.” Bakugou says “I never- I never even asked you to ignore it, I never asked you to walk on fucking eggshells just because of something that I fucked up. It’s not your problem so don’t try to treat it like it is.” '
(Or: Denki sucks at comforting, and he's not entirely sure if Bakugou would do the same for him, but he tries anyway)

Sero nods. “It’s the chance of a lifetime, really,” he says. “We want you to date Bakugou, for the sake of his reputation with the press. Some public appearances, a few ‘candid’ photos. For at least a couple of months.”
“Bakugou sent you to ask me to date him?” Kirishima asks, baffled.
“Of course not. We, his people, are asking you to date him. He’s going to have to get on board, if he wants his career to survive. And in the bargain, Riot will get all sorts of publicity, because their lyricist will be dating one of the industry’s hottest stars. A win for everyone.”
When Kirishima Eijirou's band hits the big time, he's not prepared for his newfound fame. He's even less prepared to meet the actor he's been crushing on for years, or to start dating him as a publicity stunt. The closer Kirishima gets to Bakugou Katsuki, the more he realizes he's in over his head. But it's hard to stop, once his heart is in it.

Bakugou tears his gaze away, but only manages to rake it down the rest of Kirishima's body-- to narrow hips and a glimmer of tanned skin where the shirt had ridden up, acid-washed jeans showing off thick, strong thighs that tightened a little whenever he needed to push himself further back beneath the car, the squeak of wheels and the clang of metal on metal filling the garage.
The loud complaint that had been bubbling up in his throat dies down, just a little. In fact, his throat feels a little dry. Maybe even parched.
Bakugou develops a crush on a hot mechanic. He's not sure how to deal with this.- Language:
