Ratchet looks so innocent here, long before any war has had the time to turn him into a bitter and pragmatic mech who’s had too many soldiers scream and die under his hands. Not that Deadlock isn’t into that; there’s always that softness shining through, like sun through heavy clouds. This? This is all soft, but sharp around the edges where Ratchet’s wit and intelligence haven’t been whittled down to steel-hard irony yet.
