“So all four of you studied computer science?” Dream asks and Sapnap shakes his head in response.
“Nah.” He takes a sip of his coffee to hide his grimace. “Sam and George did, but Punz did human relations and politics. He wasn’t interested in comp sci.”
Neither were you, a voice in the back of his mind argues. Even all those years ago, Punz had been confident enough in forging his own path that he didn’t feel the need to follow in Sam’s footsteps by studying computer science. Sapnap hadn’t been, already set in his ways of following the tried and tested journey his older friends had proven to be safe.
Sapnap's path has seemingly been set in stone since he was sixteen: follow his friends' examples and join them in working at the company they built from the ground up. He should have everything he could ever want - wealth, a good social life, a stable future - but the last two years of Sapnap's life feel like they've been meaningless.
Then he meets Dream.
