Summary
A day ago, just before sunset, Yue Qingyuan had received a strange and urgent summons to a small village at the base of Cang Qiong Mountain. The village was a quiet and nondescript one, without much spiritual or demonic interference to write home about. The most notable incident was an encounter with a ‘sower’ demon a few years ago, before Yue Qingyuan had ascended to the role of Sect Leader.
All the men of the village’s Qiu family were found dead, from the arrogant eldest son Qiu Jianluo to the household servants, seemingly asphyxiated as though the breath were just stolen from their lungs while they slept.

“Zhangmen Shijie,” Shen Qingqiu says, drawing Yue Qingyuan closer to herself by the curve of her waist, fingers slipping against the smooth fabric of her belt. Yue Qingyuan shudders slightly; Shen Qingqiu can barely make out the outline of her nipples through the fine cloth of her sect leader robes. “Take this off, I’ll give you what you need,” Shen Qingqiu says, voice low.
“What are you doing!” Liu Qingge yelps, jerking in place on the other side of the small cavern. She stands, fists tight at her side, as though torn between jumping over to fling Shen Qingqiu away from Yue Qingyuan or throwing herself away from them. There’s nowhere really to go, though; the cavern sealed itself when the trap was set off.
“Don’t be such a prude,” Shen Qingqiu sneers. “We’ll all die if we don’t cure this poison.”

Summary
Now, Yue Qingyuan won't pretend to be anything he is not. He is achingly aware of his own guilt complex and how he rarely, if ever, questions Xiao Jiu because of it. He wouldn't have been able to become Sect Leader if he was blind to his faults.
But it has been two weeks.
Two weeks of Xiao Jiu following him around, existing in his periphery, only slipping away for a few hours in the morning to teach his students. Even then he returns the moment the lessons are over, never lingering for longer than he needs to.
Presumably he went back to his Peak at night to change his clothes, but Yue Qingyuan has never seen him leave.
In which Shen Qingqiu gets a second chance, but is still allergic to talking it out. Instead, why shouldn't he plaster himself to Yue Qingyuan's side and refuse to leave?

Jin Zixuan reacts appropriately. Carefully, he pulls a small parcel out of his qiankun pouch and hands it to her with both hands. Respectful.

If this were one of Liu Mingyan’s fucky novels — if the solemn, sword wielding hunk were anyone other than Liu Mingyan’s brother — the wolves’ acidic blood would have fortuitously burnt through Liu Qingge’s robes in just enough places to expose a bit of thigh here, or a bit of sculpted tit there. Luo Binghe would stride out to greet Liu Qingge, rend his damaged robes from his body with one hand, and spirit him back into the palace to deliver to Shen Qingqiu to satisfy their collective bottomless needs.
Sadly, it isn’t. Liu Qingge’s clothes are fully intact. Sha Hualing watches from her boredom-perch on the roof as he glares wordlessly at the main doors, jaw clenched, before stepping back onto his sword and leaving without a word.
