“What are you doing!” Liu Qingge yelps, jerking in place on the other side of the small cavern. She stands, fists tight at her side, as though torn between jumping over to fling Shen Qingqiu away from Yue Qingyuan or throwing herself away from them. There’s nowhere really to go, though; the cavern sealed itself when the trap was set off.
“Don’t be such a prude,” Shen Qingqiu sneers. “We’ll all die if we don’t cure this poison.”

“Then, who are you taking to the banquet?”
Her mind starts clicking, trying to think of a name. If it weren’t for such a smug, ugly expression on this God’s face, she might admit her fib and move on, but Shi Qingxuan wants to see that wiped away. “Black Water Sinking Ships,” she says.

She's cross-legged, leaning forward with one elbow on her knee, chin propped on her hand as she scrolls through the chat with the other hand. Then someone in the chat writes, TAKE IT OFF, and Fu Yao scoffs.
“You think this is for you?” she scolds.
Feng Xin would know that sneer anywhere, and heat rushes to her belly at the derisive tone. She closes the laptop so fast she almost pushes it off the coffee table. She texts Xie Lian before she can think twice about it. Do you know what Mu Qing is doing???
