Summary
Traffic on a Friday night in the city was always terrible, but tonight it was especially brutal. Only one hour into his shift and already the flashy billboards and harsh headlights were beginning to give him a headache.
It would be a lie to say that chauffeuring people from point A to point B had been one of Ferdinand’s lifetime career aspirations. However, working for a company like Ryde was a convenient way to earn a supplemental income –owning horses did not come cheap, after all.
After hunting down a place to park, Ferdinand sighed and notified the customer of his arrival through the service app. He had arrived a little later than anticipated but on a night like tonight that was to be expected. Hopefully his customer would be understanding.

This story takes place in modern times in a nondisclosed city and country where Ferdinand is a driver for a mobility service provider (similar to Uber or Lyft). Ferdinand picks up a certain handsome, dark-haired, and green-eyed gentleman at a lounge and they both end up in a hotel room. See chapter notes for clarification on tags used.

Upon hearing Edelgard’s voice, the Minister of the Imperial Household straightened up in his seat and set down his papers. "Yes, your Majesty?"
Strange. Now she was avoiding his eyes. Perhaps it was the heat, but there appeared to be a blush on her majesty’s cheeks as she cleared her throat.
"Forgive me for interrupting, Hubert, but...Your shirt."
Hubert frowned. His shirt?
Was his state of undress too inappropriate after all?
Unsure of what exactly they were speaking about, Hubert glanced down.
His eyes widened by a fraction.
Two spots on his dress shirt had been soaked through, and through the white fabric, he could clearly see the slight pink hue of his nipples showing through.

Each time he's called to Hubert's office, the man has a strange mischievous smirk on his face.
What's more, his knees are starting to hurt from all the paperwork he's had to do recently.

The black pony that Ferdinand rode was greatly motivated by the added cue, and its obstinance was replaced with obedience. But every once in awhile the colt would act up again.
It was those moments that kept Hubert coming back, just to relish the sound of the whip and to gaze upon the man who gripped it.

Throughout his lifetime, Hubert committed many questionable and criminal acts, but only to enemies of Lady Edelgard. Only to those who well deserved the suffering he inflicted upon them. In cases of cruelty for the good of his country and its future Emperor, any action was necessary. The lesser of the two evils would always be Hubert.
Until now, that is, as he inspects the vial of a clear liquid that he held between his gloved hands.
