Summary
4279 days in hell and nothing ever changes. But, on day 4280, a Ministry inspection and a borrowed newspaper turns Sirius’s shrunken world upside down. Peter is still alive - and within striking distance of Harry. So starts the beginning of a chapter Sirius never thought possible; escape from Azkaban, a long journey north, becoming the most wanted wizard in Britain, a return to Hogwarts, (a rather grumpy cat), reunions and revenge. Success is unfeasible, failure unthinkable, but he has to give it a try. James is counting on him.

“Oh, no. Not today,” Luna hummed, looking around like she’d never seen his classroom before. “No, I was just wondering…” her voice trailed off as her wide blue eyes found the hinkypunk on the windowsill. Remus waited patiently for her to give it a name or quiz him on one of the impossible creatures her father invented. But then she opened her mouth and asked:
"When is a dog not a dog?”
Remus’s knee jerked so violently it knocked the underside of his desk and sent his teacup toppling to the floor.

One late June evening, Tonks attends the first meeting of the newly reformed Order of the Phoenix. In the dark, damp kitchen of Number 12 Grimmauld Place, she meets Remus Lupin. They are partnered up for a reconnaissance mission, and so begins a journey which will turn Tonks' life upside down.
