Poor fool, you think. Clearly, the man is lost. But when are wizards not lost? Have you ever seen one ask for directions?
Still, it is a good sign, you think, sipping on your spiced, mulled wine. A wizard, at least, can survive on his own. You need not go rescue some fool Muggle lost in the antarctic wastes this night. You need not save them from the creatures which only hunt at night, beneath the aurora. You need not warn the International Confederation of Wizards that Muggles are turning up beneath the long Antarctic night again, reminding them of the doom that sleeps beneath ice no matter how much they’d rather forget. A wizard, at least, knows the risks. A wizard, at least, is none of your concern.
The man looks back up at the aurora.
Poor fool. Go home. Go away.

“Sorry.” Sam mumbles, as Dean moves to sit across from him. Sam scoots closer to the window so their legs don’t touch under the table.
