In which Byleth leads the Blue Lions and attempts a full recruitment run. Meanwhile, in the classroom next door, a war is (possibly) averted via the power of boredom, being left behind, and general tomfoolery.

Or, in the wake of a story that is no longer theirs, the final remnants of the Deer collide with the last dregs of the Eagles and (maybe) change history.

"Now, I have a certain matter to discuss with you, with regard to your future and that of our house. I suppose you might accuse me of burying the lede, but I thought I oughtn’t shock you with it. Your mother and I, having taken your… previous dismissals into account, have found a potential bride for you. Have you become acquainted with the young Lady Galatea?"

Marrying Ingrid sounds like a terrible bother. Linhardt is inspired to great effort to avoid it. Caspar helps.

I absolutely adore this. The banter, especially, is so natural and canon-feeling. All of this writer's Claude fics are absolutely incredible and really flesh out his past in all of the ways that Verdant Wind left me craving for. Thank you for the food.

Also, you can really feel the Hamlet in this one.
