Jason was smirking already, watching him seat himself across from him.
“You always bring in that many cops for a petty crime?” Jason arched an eyebrow, lips curved as he watched Tim with all the same intent as a predator inspecting its prey. In the dim light, his green eyes glinted when they met the other’s. “I’m starting to feel special.”

Some nights, Jayce would dream of their work. Viktor knew that feeling all too well - both of them took it home with them.
Those nights, Viktor would try to make sense of what Jayce was puzzling through. He’d even figured out the solution a few times, leaving Jayce relieved and ecstatic in the morning.
It was one of those nights, and Viktor put his project aside to listen to what Jayce was working through. He could usually tell what project was giving him trouble, recognising the calculations and jargon.
But this…he didn’t recognise it. It wasn’t anything they had done together, and the equations seemed almost nonsensical.
Getting ready for the holidays has Viktor realising the lengths Jayce would go to for him.

He had done it. Zagreus hadn’t been sure how it was going to go - his father didn’t accept no as an answer, but neither did Achilles. Whether it was just indifference on his father’s part or the fact everyone sort of knew that there was always the possibility of Achilles blowing up again, he had come out victorious.
So, off to a good start. Zagreus would just have to make sure he wasn’t putting Achilles and Patroclus out too much. A week could be a long time, after all.

Not that either of them owed the Empire any real loyalty, but they did have a degree of freedom and security here. It was the devil they knew, and Aranea couldn't guarantee Lucis would give them refuge. Hell, she couldn't guarantee they wouldn't kill on sight.
But Prompto was right on one thing - turning Nisus in wasn't an option. Aranea had been given a gruesome insight into what Dr. Besithia got up to in those labs, and she knew how easy it would be for him to pry the so-thought Prince of Lucis away for what would become a slow, clinical death.
Really, they didn't have a choice. She just needed Prompto to know they were giving up everything for a hunch they happened to share.

He may have been outwardly calm, but Noctis seethed. There had to be some way to bring Niflheim to justice for this. There was no way they could be allowed to wipe out an entire nation.
