-Whatever. Mike is patient, he really is. He'll keep being patient, even if there’s no fuckin’ way Clinton’s getting them there, to that mystical, utopic future world where it's not inexplicably wrong to be in love. Maybe the next asshole, or whoever they bring in after that. He'll wait if he has to, because it's Will. That's all there is to it. This is enough, even if he doesn't get to also have it on paper. Yet.

Will takes a step couple steps towards Mike, narrowing his eyes. "Yes, Michael. I am being serious. Act like a fucking man."
This causes Mike to sit back a little bit, expression twisting into something Will can't recognize quite yet. His eyebrows raise slightly, taking in the angry man standing in front of him.
They're both quiet for a moment, Will's chest heaving slightly as Mike looks up at him with half-lidded eyes. Will hates how quickly he can feel his anger shifting into something dangerous and familiar. "Yeah?" Mike breathes out. "You want me to act like a man, William?"

Mike loves when Will addresses him by his full name. Maybe a little too much.

El is gone.
Will tries to figure out how to move on in New York, and Mike follows him. Their apartment is haunted not by ghosts, but by the two of them.
