Rex is stuck bodyguarding General Skywalker and his lady senator as they go to an important diplomatic meeting on a hot planet.
General Skywalker keeps tapping code messages out during the meeting, and suggesting they go out somewhere nice and get something cold. And telling him Padmé is not his senator.
But this is all just Skywalker being polite, right? What the General really wants is to spend time with his senator.

Summary
Ahsoka heard about writing letters to your future self and introduced the idea to Anakin and Obi-Wan. They think it’s stupid, but they do it anyway, and either because the Force hates them or loves them, it decides to mail the letters.
Darth Vader is confused and unhappy to receive a letter from Anakin Skywalker. Ben Kenobi is just as confused to hear from Obi-Wan. But since cross-temporal communication was apparently the Force’s will, both of them send letters back.
Or, Anakin becomes pen pals with Darth Vader and Obi-Wan becomes pen pals with Ben Kenobi, and somehow this ends up saving the galaxy.

Anakin Falls on the battlefield, on a small dusty planet in the Mid Rim that’s largely unimportant in the grand scale of the war. His men are dying in scores around him, screaming, spilling their guts onto the pockmarked ground, and something that has been pulling tighter and tighter over the course of the war, over the course of his whole life—between one decapitated droid and the next, something snaps in his chest. He doesn't know it, but he's more than a year early.
Or: Anakin navigates the path from straight up not noticing, to denial, to buying a pair of ugly sunglasses to hide his unfortunate Darksider eye condition, to a number of Sith lords dying in uniquely creative ways. If he reaches acceptance, it just might save the galaxy.

It was only when I Want a Happabore for Life Day started for the fifth time did Ahsoka sense a change within her Master, his previously peaceful signature slowly trickling into irritation.
Opening the chat channel she shared with Obi-Wan, she wagered that Anakin would snap after five seconds. There was a ping that threatened to disrupt the cozy ambiance and she could feel a bubble of amusement from him through the Force before he challenged her bet with three seconds.
"Ahsoka,” Anakin warned without even a glance her way. Four seconds. Her Master was unpredictable even with the smallest things. “Shut that thing up."

”I thought Mandalorians were great warriors,” the Commander said, his voice rough and biting. Din scoffed, still pumped full of adrenaline.
”And I thought the rebellion could do better than a desolate outer rim planet,” he replied, stepping around the wampa’s steaming body and standing toe-to-toe with the Commander. He was shorter than Din thought from afar, and smiled like he’d won a game of sabacc. The gash on his face would undoubtedly scar, but his features were soft, boyish even. “Aren’t you a little young for a commander?”
”Perk of destroying the Death Star, I guess,” he said, before disengaging the light sword and clipping it to his belt. Then to himself, “Leia’s gonna kill me."
Or; Din crash lands on Hoth and by coincidence (or the will of the Force, but who really knows) ends up in the wampa den with Luke before the Battle of Hoth. Cue Luke and Din trying to be normal about each other and failing spectacularly.
