"I can't lose you again!" Tommy finally yelled, his hands falling from where they had been covering his ears against Wilbur's angry words. Tears streaked down his reddened cheeks, and he stared down at the ground rather stubbornly, avoiding looking at his brother.
Wilbur fell silent, the sounds of his footsteps stopping as well, leaving only the distant sound of casino machines and the small river to fill the silence left in the wake of his words.
