She can’t sleep, she’s almost certainly going to fail all her NEWTs, and she’s 99% sure that if they don’t win the Quidditch Cup this year James Potter will throw himself headfirst off the Astronomy Tower. On top of all that, there’s a war on, yet their professors seem determined to pretend that the biggest problem any of them are facing is finding a Ministry internship. Buck’s crouched in front of Chris, explaining that he can pick him up something at Bobby’s, and Eddie can see on Chris’ face that he’s gearing up for an argument. “Actually,” Eddie says, taking the opportunity to rest his hand on Buck’s shoulder—to let him know he’s there, he tells himself—“lunch together sounds good—uh, all of us, if that’s okay. I could—I’d like to buy you lunch.”

Sirius and James accidentally find themselves on a Yorkshire farm during lambing season. The farmer’s son thinks that’s a bit annoying, actually.
