Good morning,
I am lodging another formal complaint against two of my team members, Kaveh and Alhaitham. This week I have counted four excessively long lunch breaks and suffered as witness to another set of repeated, intense debates that border on passionate (and questionable) foreplay. All of these take place in front of my desk. Time frames and summaries attached as a PDF.

Hair in a bun, skates laid out on the floor, and an idle tune hummed under his breath — he’s nearly set.
His phone starts ringing while he’s rushing towards a bench to put down his belongings, and he scrambles to reach for it in the depths of his bag. He finds it, finger poised to answer as he looks up.
And that’s when he sees him.
Even through the hockey helmet, Kaveh can see the familiar traces of gray hair. If the height and broad build weren’t a dead giveaway, that certainly squandered any doubt. Alhaitham. The Sumeru Jackals hockey team’s main defenseman. Of course… who else could it be?
Kaveh stares at him for a beat too long before snapping himself out of it. There’s no way. There is no way he’s here.

“No,” Kaveh says, thinking. “With my luck, if I did know him already, then he would probably be the worst person I know. Someone like Al-Haitham.” The thought is so absurd that he stops and laughs. “But that would be fucking awful.”
In Kaveh's humble opinion, the title for The Worst Guy In The World is tied between four people: the asshole in his Tuesday eight am, the employee behind the library email account, the guy writing the university's advice column, and the student that the professor he assists always complains about.
It would only be too convenient if they were all the same person. (They are.)
