Summary
Soulmarks were a funny thing. They didn’t guarantee that you met your soulmate, nor did they really give you much insight as to who or where they were.
In this universe, soulmarks were color. Sometimes it’s the color of your soulmates’ eyes, emerald green and shimmering, and sometimes it’s the color of their hair, golden brown waves cascading to the ground.Steve Rogers had the color red inked on his left wrist.
Follows the plot of CA:TFA to A:IW with no major deviations, but some canon and non-canon events and relationships are there.

Summary
The Winter Soldier is NOT Bucky Barnes. They are completely two different people who just happen to very very similar. Bucky Barnes died on the mountains 70 odd years ago, and the asset grew up alongside the widow in the Red Room.
That doesn't stop Steve from dropping the shield, or the asset from fishing him out of the ocean, or them falling in love anyways.Series

Summary
The Winter Soldier drags Steve out of the Potomac.
Originally Chapter 12 of "This is how it starts", can be read as a stand-alone fic as it is a one-shot AU of the original fic that I decided to publish independently.
(“I thought he was going to finish the mission,” Natasha says, much much later, “He’d never-, I don’t-,” she pauses, then, “he’d never failed .”
“Not even once?” Sam leans forward, knees brushing, hands clasped.
Natasha thinks of the end of a pistol, pressed under her chin, metal finger at the trigger, words of Russian tongue, chapped lips, cold floors, new names and new faces, then she thinks of blond hair, large hands, a shield, cold water, and falling.

Summary
Steve Rogers and The Winter Soldier meet for the first time in 2014 during the canon divergence events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
It starts like this: this is how they fall in love.
(C13: They’re still fighting, Iron Man and Captain America.
Wanda feels it. They seem nice to each other, but Steve is still mad at Tony, and Tony is still mad at everything.
She thinks that Steve has a right to be mad at Tony, because what he did was stupid, but staying mad this long is even more stupid, because they’re friends.
She tells that to the Vision, who nods and says, “I agree. The Captain and Sir have gone through a lot of battles before, it would be a shame for this to split them apart.”
“At least they’re not fighting over a book,” Wanda says.
“Yes,” the Vision says, “that would be terrible. Tear-rible. Like the pun. Do you know what puns are? I’ve been doing some reading.”)

See, the thing is, Natasha’s not lonely.
She has very wonderful best friends, a not-so-wonderful team (but, they are still her team who she knows has her back), and a maybe-almost-not quite-but possibly boyfriend who she’s been coyly dancing around for a couple of months.
But across from where she’s dangling off the fire escape from maybe-boyfriend’s apartment, through the window, there’s a young woman excitedly leafing through bridal magazines and her partner clicking through something on their phone with their hands entangled, and Natasha scowls.
She wants a wedding.
A Natasha/Steve that eventually turns into a Natasha/Steve/Bucky. A product of my drunk confused mind.
