“Welcome home.” Alhaitham stands in the foyer, arms uncrossing to help Kaveh bring his mother’s bag onto the floor.
She looks to her son, then back at Alhaitham, then back to Kaveh again, brows knit in confusion.
“I, er… I suppose I should explain. Mother, this is my—” He pauses, hiding the way he falters behind an awkward cough.
“Alhaitham.”
Due to an unexpected visit from his mother, Kaveh asks Alhaitham to pretend to be more than his roommate. The week ends up being more than either of them bargained for.

“Is there something on your mind?” The question was quiet and made Kaveh stop dead in his tracks.
“Since when do you care?” Kaveh asked, his tone coming out more accusatory than he’d meant for it to. It was just so easy to fall into this rhythm of give and take, to push Alhaitham away when he knew they’d both be pulled right back in by the end of the night.
“Since when have I not?” Alhaitham retorted.
Or, Kaveh is afraid of losing another person close to him and Alhaitham wants him to get a clue.

Summary
Alhaitham doesn’t know why he can’t shut it out—he’s heard it all before, doesn’t care to indulge. But with Kaveh it’s like the penultimate chapter of a story, the hushed moment before the dramatic curtain opens and the final act is revealed. Simply put, Alhaitham needs more.
So he blocks out the nose of distraction everywhere else: the Akademiya, the city streets, even his own mind when necessary. But not Kaveh. Never Kaveh.

So—yeah. The thirst trap is a flop. Osamu didn't even notice Suna's immaculate six-pack, and even if Osamu hadn't slid in his DMs quite in the way Komori had promised he would, he could've at least appreciated the view instead of fixating on the sashimi takeout. Suna tells himself to just take the L and move on.
But—admittedly—Suna finds that he can't. Because Osamu's hot, and whatever he was doing to Suna in his sex dream was hot, and Suna knows that he shouldn't be having thoughts like this about the guy who has been his best friend for over half his life. As much as he knows he should feel guilty about it, he wants to indulge in it, just a little more.

They’re swaying a little, just moving in a slow circle on the spot. It makes Shouto think of one time back at UA, when Katsuki had rubbed slow circles into the soft skin of Shouto’s inner wrist, his fingers delicate in a way Shouto hadn’t known they could be.
Most people, Shouto thinks, look at Katsuki’s hands and see weapons. They’re not wrong, but Shouto knows how gentle they can be when they’re not being asked to destroy.
“I don’t think you could knock me out,” Shouto says thoughtfully. He curls one hand around Katsuki’s shoulder, presses his palm over his shoulder blade. “Not with a headbutt. I don’t think you’d be able to reach high enough to get the force you want.”
Katsuki steps on his foot.
There are things one is meant to do at a wedding. Dancing, for one. Todoroki seems to have missed the memo. Luckily, Bakugou is there to remind him.

Al-Haitham lets the fork go slack in his hands and just stares at him. “Kaveh,” he says, in the sort of tone someone might say dude.
“Don’t dude me,” Kaveh says, aghast.

"Oh." Todoroki finally takes it, brushes his thumb across the jacket carefully. He says, soft. "I hear. Thank you, Bakugou."
It's a bit short, and his white t-shirt still peeks out from below. Todoroki zips it all the way up, collar hiding his mouth for a second before he wriggles his head out of turtle mode. His cheeks are slightly red, and it makes Katsuki turn red too, once he realizes the implications that Todoroki Shouto is wearing his rain jacket.
OR: Katsuki lends Todoroki one jacket and now it's like he has his entire fuckin' closet.

Shouto pauses on the steps to his apartment, probably for dramatic emphasis. Katsuki can’t stand the theatrics. He has no doubts Shouto didn’t forget a damn thing - he simply chose to wait for the opportune moment to play storytime like the goddamn menace he is.
“Yeah?” Katsuki prompts, striving to keep the heat out of his voice lest Shouto is spurred on by it.
Wouldn’t be the first time.
“My aircon is broken.”
Glancing at the condensation on the windows, Katsuki squints.
“It’s the middle of Summer.”
Katsuki won't stand for this nonsense anymore. He's going to love the absolute shit out of this silly, wonderful man.

Before Shouto can even open his mouth to respond—he’s waffling between “Like what?” for maximum Bakugou-annoyance or “It’s the trauma.” because of the one time it made Kaminari laugh so hard he cried—Bakugou is already talking over him, scrubbing a hand down his face and sighing like talking to Shouto is the hardest thing he’s ever done.
“Don’t fuckin’ answer that. I know why you’re like this.”
Problem solved. Shouto says nothing.

“Yeah,” Bakugou manages instead of the fiery furious tirade he planned but suddenly can’t bring himself to start at all. “It’s about the emails.”
“Oh.”
The tiny smile curving up Todoroki’s lips should not be so damn mesmeric. But it is. Everything about him is far too distracting. It always has been and it’s unfair that Bakugou has to be subjected to it now of all times.
“You got them? That’s good.”
No - it definitely is not good. A lifetime of bad emails is not what Bakugou signed up to. Not even for this gorgeous man he may or may not have had an attraction to for far too long.
“Listen up asshole - those emails were total fucking shit. If you’re gonna send me stuff at least do it properly. I ain’t gonna respond to any of your half-assed garbage. So you better up your fucking game.”
There it is, that ominous sound. The sound of new mail.

Todoroki Shouto meanders into the centre of Bakugou's universe of a dreary day in September. He fucks it up - quite spectacularly.
