He’s balancing planning a wedding with relaunching his career and caring for his children, and in the midst of it all his relationship with his brother is sharply deteriorating. He’s plagued by nightmares and anger issues as he digs up skeletons from his own closet.
Can Dean forgive himself for what happened back in Kansas when it seems like nobody else can? Will Castiel and Jimmy reconcile in time for the wedding? Will Dean and Cas even make it down the aisle, especially when a sudden and serious illness takes hold of someone close to their hearts?

Summary
Dean Winchester is on the run from his life. He's done something unforgivable, and can't face his family or friends ever again. So he does what any rational person would do: fakes his own death and vanishes into the ether.
Wandering aimlessly along country roads, he succumbs to the elements during a violent storm and wakes up hours later in the home of a stranger: a single dad living alone in an isolated beach house, with a haunting past of his own. Cas is sweet and shy, but welcomes Dean into his home and tells him he can stay as long as he needs, never prying into his life or asking him to spill his secrets.

The bunker tended to go quiet around this time, and you had no idea how many days it had been so far. Most of the time you hid in your room to avoid the deep concern etched into their faces.
"You hungry?" It pained you to hear the cautious hope in his voice, but his steady tone cleared a bit of the fog that thinking of your past always brought over you. You could focus a little easier with him in the room.
