Apparently he didn't decide quickly enough, because when he opened his mouth, Alex looked like he was a hair’s breadth away from jumping up and shaking him.
“Christ George, how did this happen??"
After a year of constant strain since Alex found out about George and Max, things finally come to a head, forcing everything into the light.

“Holy shit.” It rippled through the Red Bull garage, the disbelief and excitement of something unprecedented to enliven the race. “Russell really did it. He let Antonelli through.”
The last Dutch Grand Prix, 2026. Max is very, very ill with the flu, and George had cast his lot in with the devil.
