Hector feels his lips quirk up, gazing at your warm cheeks. Only he can bring out this side of you, guide you into a trance with his words. You inch closer to his grate.
Hector is about to warn you, except you yawn, causing the stool beneath you to stir.
It happened so quickly, too fast for Hector to stop it. You cry as you twist, missing the hands he offers as you descend. His heart lurches at the thud of the stool, your hip hitting it as the rug digs into your arm.
