Summary
For all his mutters to the contrary, Fushiguro Megumi rarely followed through on punching Gojou Satoru. He’d smacked Gojou’s hand away from his popcorn, sure. He’d tripped him, a time or two, when he was teasing him about something or other, darting around like a persistent, smiling horsefly.
Gojou Satoru was the most irritating man alive. His smile set Megumi’s teeth on edge. He was flighty, incorrigible, and rude. He was late when you wanted him and constantly in your face when you didn’t.
Megumi rarely followed through on punching Gojou in his smug, useless face, even when he stranded him at a school with a missing cursed object and told him to come home when he’d found it and not before; even when he ate the last of the good protein bars and then left the empty box in the cabinet instead of replacing it.
Megumi rarely followed through on punching Gojou Satoru because he knew, if he did, Gojou would probably let him.

“You’re drunk, Satoru,” he gives back, tries to not let his voice shake but he can’t accept that.

Summary
Satoru didn’t die with no regrets. He died with a thousand regrets, because he regrets every second that Suguru wasn’t at his side. He regrets every moment he spent not holding his hand. He regrets every kiss he didn’t take. They had so little time together and then he spent ten years with a hole in his chest where his heart had been ripped out. When he looks at Suguru he sees him at seventeen and twenty-seven, he sees him as he was and how he could have been. He sees him alive and he sees him dead.
“We didn’t have enough time,” he says at last, holding Suguru’s gaze and trying to communicate every single one of these lost moments and mistakes. “Me and you.”
“No,” Suguru says with a soft smile, “we didn’t.”
Or - At the end of all things, Satoru and Suguru are finally reunited.
