Summary
After a memory-modification training at D.U.M.P. goes awry, Sweetheart wakes up with a pounding headache and no memories from the last few years. In order to help Sweetheart, Milo has to convince them to trust him as they wait for a skilled memory modifier to restore their memories. Milo’s first task? Hunt down a cloaked and confused Sweetheart. Good thing Milo (and his pack) know a thing or two about tracking.

Summary
"Well...if you're gonna stick around..." Milo's eyes flicker around the room a bit, pausing at the source of the scratching. "I'll need my supervisor's approval." His eyes flicker back to theirs, holding their gaze in a suspicious glare.
Said supervisor emerges from the far corner of the living room, stretching and staring at the intruder a moment before meowing loudly.
"Guess that's a yes."
"Don't put words in his mouth." Milo glares. It's a quick jab, and there's a sternness in his voice that really drives home Milo's "ex investigator's kid" status. As angry as he seems, and he does seem genuinely angry, and as much as they're aware Milo poses a genuine threat, nothing about the scene makes them feel like they're in any real harm.
A holds their hands up with a nod. "Fair enough. I know you don't trust me...yet." They smile in the cat's direction, giving him a little wave.
The cat meows loudly again, more of a yell, really, and perks up at the acknowledgement, sauntering over with curious chirps. A bends and stretches a hand out, letting the cat sniff their fingers before offering a few scratches.
"Give it a week." they whisper to the cat. "Think he'll warm up as quick as you did?"
