Scorpius Potter has lived an unremarkable life.
He goes to school, helps his dad in the garden on school holidays, and talks to his friends about pointless irrelevant things.
He doesn't fight wars, he doesn't kill Dark Lords and he doesn't ask his dad about who his mum is.
That wouldn't be kosher.
But now his dad is avoiding him, there is a Death Eater teaching at Hogwarts, and Scorpius is quickly realising that some things are not always as they seem.

Usually an unwanted intruder was the last of Harry’s worries. He had fought through hell and high water in his twenty five years of life, he could handle a scuffle - the issue lied in the fact that this voice beyond the door belonged to Draco Malfoy, and Harry Potter was about to be caught red handed.

Harry Potter turns himself into a recluse after growing tired from the woes of fame, brewing enough polyjuice potion to go undetected for months. He figures that this truly is a plan that could have been considered perfect, if a certain blonde git didn’t seem to live in the same area and frequent the same spots in this sleepy town.. A blonde git who perpetually smells of dittany and seems to be harbouring a dark secret.

Summary
Laurent was six years old when the boy appeared in his fireplace.
Winter had come early in Arles that year. The thick glass pane of his window frosted over in a way that created fractals of light in the morning and made him know that magic was real, the type of magic that ignited his curiosity and emboldened his imagination to feats of whimsy and mischief. The trees outside stood bare; spindly things that cast shadows of twisted unnatural shapes, changing the soft glow of magic into menace that had Laurent drawing the bedcovers to his nose, eyes wide open on alert, then squeezed shut in fear. The shadows reminded him of Auguste’s stories: witches stealing children, wolves crunching bones and eating human flesh, foul creatures lurking in darkness to snatch ankles and drag them under the bed, never to be seen again.
But Auguste had never told him of olive skinned boys falling out of lit fireplaces.
