Summary
Itachi likes his plain and boring life where he gets to live for his work and plan his future. He gives in to Sasuke's nagging to live a little, and ends up at a nightclub where a horrible migraine makes him slip up and confess his decade old love to his best friend. Sasuke rebels, Shisui is getting married, and Itachi meets the club's gorgeous DJ who's just the right amount of full of himself, loud, and knows how to keep him coming (back). Somewhere along the line, he might need to reconsider whether or not he's satisfied with his immaculate life.

After his release from Konoha's prison complex, Deidara is forced to work with the Hokage and the ANBU to track and gather intel on the Akatsuki, the very organisation he was once a part of.
Itachi is the captain of the ANBU team Ro who keeps a close eye on the former prisoner, and makes sure he's fit for everything the Hokage and Konoha needs him for.
Across many years, they grow closer. The former prisoner becomes more than just an asset. And the stoic ANBU captain turns out to be strangely sweet and kind.
