The abrupt pull away was upsetting, and Alfred couldn’t help a small whine. He squirmed slightly in Ludwig’s lap, his mind still too locked in pleasure to register Ludwig’s question. His lips remained open, still valiantly braced for their partner. He frowned when nothing happened, and opened his eyes just enough to stare at Ludwig with punch-drunk lust. “Huh?”
“You taste like tangerine.” Ludwig’s eyebrows were furrowed, his serious expression cute enough that Alfred could forgive the interruption for now.

Throughout his life, Ludwig had been constantly bombarded by the ideologies of traditionalists and popular media. He was encouraged to wait for his soulmate; to put his life on hold until he found the one, the person who would make him whole and better.
In reality, finding one’s soulmate was incredibly rare. It was an unrealistic expectation, in Ludwig’s opinion, to stagnate one’s life in the pursuit of something that may never happen.

Prima watched Megatronus kneel next to Starscream near the holomap. Although the strongest and the largest of the Primes, he preferred not to intimidate nor loom. Megatronus’ razor sharp optics behind his mask watched the commander as he talked, as if trying to commit every small detail to memory. It was very charming, watching fearsome, strong, stoic Megatronus, bend to the whims of this tiny, ferocious warrior.

Megatronus did not seem any more bothered than usual with their presence, his thick armor protecting him from the brunt of curious sparkling mouths and claws. The image the three of them made was quite comical: Megatronus, a big hulking mech, with two of the tiniest sparklings that Orion had yet to see doing their best to incapacitate him.

“You must mind your strength, Rumble. You nearly cracked Frenzy’s optic,” chastised Soundwave, gentle and firm in only the way a creator could manage. Ratchet hadn’t heard such a tone in many a vorn. Creation wasn’t exactly the sort of activity one does during war. It threw Ratchet through a loop to hear it from Soundwave, of all mechs. Though, Ratchet supposed, sometimes it was easy to forget that Rumble and Frenzy were younglings, first and foremost.
“Should they be doing this out in the hallway?” said Sideswipe, absentmindedly.
Sunstreaker shrugged. “Maybe it’s a Decepticon thing.”

On Klyntar, the newest batch of spawn were always stronger than their parents; quicker, faster, more agile, with the added benefit of youthful vigor. It was a necessary piece of Klyntar biology, purely for the continuing growth of the Hive. Popular superstition, perpetuated among the oldest among them, cautioned to be mindful of them, lest they deem your obvious shortcomings a threat. Yet, each season, the spawnlings were welcomed into the throng of the Hive with little fanfare. Venom, like most Klyntar their age, did not pay much mind to the unfounded fears of their elders.

There is a stone cupped between Knock Out’s fingers, handled with precious care even as he fiddles with it. It is iridescent in nature, creating a beautiful catacomb of light that combines with the dim lighting of their biolights in the dark, giving it a pinkish glow. Dimly, Starscream recognizes it as opal, if only because Knock Out had taken a liken to rocks in the past couple of months and had a tendency to share his interests.

“They are fascinated by us.” A part of Soundwave was weirdly amused by the whole situation. It was provocatively invasive and he, who had left his misguided notions about privacy in some early decade of the war, felt titillated.
“What?” said Megatron, confusion melting away into disbelief.
“These are not high level security files, even if they are encrypted. These are more akin to gossip holos, clearly written out of boredom.” Soundwave selected another file, scanning through this one quickly.
Megatron snatched the pad back. In this new light, several things stood out to him. He paused. “I believe you are correct.”
“Naturally.”
