Summary
When Yeonjun's little sister comes home from Secret Santa day at school with the exact same present he got her for Christmas, he has no choice but to go back to the store to buy her a new present. Only problem is: Christmas is tomorrow and the options left in the store are sparse.
It doesn't help when this year's local mall elf snatches the gift he has his eyes on away right in front of him. Not to mention this elf has an agenda of his own; one that requires Yeonjun taking over his shift.
What could possibly go wrong?

Summary
When his estranged father died, Soobin apparently inherited the man’s bookshop, The Whimsical Shelf, and even more recently learned that it's haunted.
When Yeonjun, the ghost tour director with the wicked grin, sweet-talks his way into spending Halloween night in the bookshop with Soobin for “educational purposes”, tricks and treats abound.

Summary
Soobin has always lived in the forest. At first he was with his parents, until they both passed away. Now, he has been alone for three summers. Until Yeonjun crosses his territory. Yeonjun seeks him out and sets a catastrophe in motion.
Thrust into society, Soobin struggles with the realization that the life he knew was a lie. But he's not the only one. Trying to explain what life in a normal town is supposed to be like leaves Yeonjun questioning it.
"Do you even know what a phone is?"
"Yes. It plays music in your bag, and you cuss at it until it stops. Then you hold it in front of your face and talk to yourself."

Summary
One night in a haunted house thrusts Yeonjun into the center of a sixty-year-old curse. In his dreams, he meets a mysterious stranger named Soobin.
Soobin is a sorcerer who cursed people in the past, and now he's been trapped in the dream as punishment for his crimes. Yeonjun doesn't think Soobin is evil, but if he were to help Soobin awaken, would he still be the charming man Yeonjun knows? Or a villain in disguise?

Then Choi Soobin moves into the house next to him.
Soobin is… different. Okay, he’s a know-it-all, obnoxious, socially-impaired lunatic who gets bored far too easily and gets into fights far too often (though, really, what does he expect when he goes around pointing out everyone’s secrets and talking crap about their mothers?)

It’s cold. Their wedding ring, on his fourth finger on his left hand. It’s cold when he sees Yeonjun’s hand and his ring finger is empty.
“I don’t know,” Yeonjun whispers quietly, like he’s cautious. Unsure. “A little scared, I think.”
“Why?”
“Well, I don’t actually... know you.”
Soobin laughs, despite the reality. It’s funny when he thinks about it hard enough. This is the man he married a year ago, fell in love with years before, but he doesn’t remember.
It’s funny, really.

“Have you ever heard about the origami hearts tradition in the hospital?”
Taking the heart, the child excitedly inspected it, nodding in glee. “Yes! My mama told me that when someone leaves the hospital to go to heaven, we all fold a paper heart for them! Like this, like this!”
“That’s right,” chuckled Soobin. “But do you know how it started? It started here, in this room. From a boy who used to fold a paper heart every day for his lost love, hoping each one he makes will take him closer to the day those eyes would open again.”
"Unfortunately for him, the day never came."
In other words, a hopeless love story of two childhood best friends who didn't realise what it meant to have each other until it was too late; compiled of yearning, loss, forlorn hope, unrequited love, and every tragedy in between.
