Summary

Naruto isn't willing to let him go so easily, so he does the obvious: invite himself along.
While traveling across the lands, Naruto and Sasuke are forced to confront what lies between them. They make a lot of discoveries about themselves, their past, and their true feelings for each other.
Very slow burn, canonverse, Sasuke POV (he is an unreliable narrator at times, be warned!). Honestly my take on what should have happened at the end of the anime.

Porsche looked forward to it, thought it would be during one of their make outs or morning cuddles, some quiet downtime. Kinn would turn to him, a hand on his waist or on the top of his head or cupping his cheek. Kinn would trace his bottom lip with a thumb as he gave Porsche a small smile, those private ones he aimed his way when it was just them. And Kinn would finally say it, would finally say it back: I love you.
But it wasn't like that at all. It was nothing like Porsche expected. At none of those perfect pockets of moments did Kinn turn to him and declare himself, nope.
Instead, it went like this.
Or, we got Kinn saying 'I love him' on the show but not yet 'I love you,' so.

“I’m fine,” came the immediate reply, along with a little kiss pressed to his palm.
Porsche pulled him into a kiss, wondering whether this was yet another method of self-soothing Kinn had learned over the years. Repeating untrue words until he ended up believing them, protecting the image of the heir everyone hoped he’d be. Porsche did not need to hear reassurances, didn’t want to be just another person Kinn subconsciously tried to deceive.
“It’s okay if you’re not.”
The words were whispered against his mouth, and Kinn pulled back slightly, as if appalled by the presumption. Porsche sensed the possibility of an incoming argument.
“Ai’Kinn.” His hands slid down the other’s neck, resting on wide shoulders as he continued: “It’s normal to be scared, I was scared too.”
