Louis hid his smile by turning to throw the blanket back on the sofa, folding it neatly. “It’s alright if it doesn’t,” he shrugged, “worst case scenario, we cuddle while you bite me.” He twisted to look at his lover, eyes warm. “That sound so terrible to you?”

Louis grinds on his lap, and Lestat clenches the armrest tight enough to splinter the wood to shards.
For here Lestat is: indulging his darling's demands to keep his hands to himself like an obedient dog sitting still with a treat balanced on his nose while drool dribbles down his maw and moments from sticking out his tongue panting.
Mercy, mon cher. Forgive me please, he wants to plead after another heavenly scoop of Louis's hips against his clothed crotch. He growls out in frustration instead.
Or: Lestat courts Louis's jealousy successfully, and Louis is so kind.

Whatever carefully blank expression Lestat is trying on disappears like a slap. “Armand made a fledgling. Why would he do that?” Lestat asks.
“Oh, you know,” Louis says, watching the three dots of a new text pop up. “He knew Daniel was… important to me.”
He means to say it with rueful annoyance, as if to say, “so he ruined him.” But as Daniel’s text comes in—the most important question I should have asked you in that fucking interview: where do you buy coke in Dubai?—Louis’s voice trails off, his words maybe lacking some of the bite.

Lestat misunderstands what Daniel is to Louis and tries to be a champ about it. Meanwhile Louis rediscovers his drug of choice—Lestat.

Remus took a deep breath. “And this is exactly why I don’t help with the crossword. I’m off to change the linens. Call Prongs if you’re so desperate.”
“Prongs is desperate. And I’d have to work the tele – tele –”
“Good god, Padfoot, the telephone, which you do perfectly well to order take away.”
“I’m wounded again.”
“You’ll live,” Remus said practically, setting off down the hall.

Out of all the holidays on the calendar, Claudia’s favorite was Christmas. Everything else was "good" but Christmas was on a whole different level. The whole month, they watched movies every night (including school nights) and made hot chocolate and cookies. Christmas music blared out of her Papa Les’s car when he drove her to school, to the mild annoyance of some of their neighbors. He hadn’t grown up in America, so he took everything to the extreme, decking out the house in lights and garlands and so many tiny plastic Santas. Claudia wrote her letter to Santa every year and sent it off on the 1st of December like clockwork. According to Daniel, it got ahead of everyone else’s and made sure she got everything on her list.
All of that is to say, Claudia couldn’t sleep on Christmas Eve.
So what happens when Claudia, in hopes of catching Santa on Christmas Eve, sees something much more shocking

Summary
“Wait.” Louis’ hand shoots out to grab his wrist, sending a shiver down Lestat’s spine. It’s the most they’ve touched in years, and his hand clenches in anticipation as he waits for Louis to continue. “Will you tell me more about your past?”
Lestat hesitates. It’s not that he wants to hide anything from Louis, fuelling suspicions that he’s deliberately keeping things from him, but there are memories that are too painful to remember, much less to be spoken out loud. Promises made to keep his knowledge to himself lest he starts a chain reaction of devastating events.
“Please,” Louis says, and his eyes seem to beg for something. “I want to know you. All of you. Will you help me understand?”
Or: Lestat allows himself to be vulnerable. An open and honest conversation ensues.
