Summary
“In your previous testimony you stated, ‘Don’t ever show your face in front of me again.’ Isn’t that right?” Phoenix asked pointedly.
“Yes, and your point being?” Edgeworth replied, his face a mask.
“There is a clear contradiction in your statement.”
Phoenix refuses to accept Edgeworth’s rejection and makes it his mission to reach out and rekindle their friendship. They find comfort in each other as Phoenix grieves and learns to trust again, while Edgeworth grapples with the trauma of his past and his future as a prosecutor.
