Then there was a crash, a screech, and a small plane skidded to a halt across the huge, empty space.
A stream of people slowly emerged. First came Steve Rogers, with his star-spangled shield hanging limply at his side. The Falcon walked beside him. Thor stalked into view, flipping his massive hammer with ease and a touch of aggressiveness. Loki strolled beside him, smiling pleasantly and muttering something under his breath. They were followed by The Vision, who held Wanda Maximoff. Her leg was wrapped in bandages. Hawkeye and Bucky Barnes followed Black Widow, and she glanced backwards multiple times, concern written on her face. But she wasn’t looking at them.
Then two loud voices rose above the hum.
“You weren’t supposed to be there!”
