He knew Megatron was still coming closer. Knew it with the certainty of a petrorabbit cowering from a turbofox just out of sight, some ancient line of code screaming for him to run, to run until the predator was far, far away and could no longer track him.
But Optimus was no petrorabbit, he was a predator in his own right. Outmassed and outgunned, perhaps, but he’d not go down without a fight.
