Summary
My name is Magnus Bane. I am a conduit between mortal men and the gods they serve.
I have been given three visions- no more, no less. The calamity of these visions is so great, it both intrigues and terrifies me just the same. I have seen rulers rise and empires fall. However, should the fates of these souls intersect, I fear that the balance between good and evil, life and death will hang in the balance for us all. The first is of a young woman with hair as red as fire and a thirst for freedom in her emerald eyes. She longs for adventure, but something keeps her locked away in a cage she cannot escape.
The second is of a young man, bold and brave. Conquest and victory surge through his veins, but he lacks the capacity to truly lead unless he can find the one that can melt the ice inside his heart.
The third an final vision speaks of a darker soul, one who seeks power and subjugation. He will stop at nothing to claim what is his, no matter the cost.
This is the era of voyages, of war, of treaties and of treachery. This is the age Of Gods and Swords.

Baring his teeth behind his lips to prevent the sneer that wanted to rise he forced out a single terse syllable, “Yes.”
“Alright. I’ll help you. But you have to promise you won’t fall in love with me.” Those huge amber eyes held his gaze, completely serious.
Draco barely managed to keep himself from dissolving into laughter. Instead, with a disbelieving scoff he said, “That won’t be a problem.”

You get witches and wizards who fulfill the roles of gods and goddesses and straddle the Wizarding and Immortal or mythical realms. The plot begins during the summer between "Half-Blood Prince" and "Deathly Hallows."
'Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice the rustle of wind behind her and the shiver that ran down her spine until someone grabbed her. The coldness of the hands made her think of a dementor, but Hermione couldn't think much more about that as her stomach dropped and she realized she was flying on a broom. Her eyes were closed, too afraid to look to see how high she was.
“Scared, Granger?” a deep voice growled in her ear. It was familiar, but in the gravity of the situation, she couldn’t place it.
Daringly, she opened her eyes, enough to glimpse where she was being taken, a strong arm secured around her waist. Her world went black as she saw they were headed straight for the ground.'
