Summary
Asking Kiryu on a date is supposed to be a joke. It’s just another in Majima’s long list of contrived reasons for Kiryu to get mad enough at him to fight him.
So he’s thrown for a loop when Kiryu doesn’t answer by punching him in the face, but by accepting.
Obviously Kiryu’s playing along, just like he did with the bartender scheme, and with Goromi, and everything else. Majima can work with that. There’s no way he’ll crack before Kiryu does.
Or: Majima commits to the bit so hard he ends up in a long-term relationship.

Rook scoffs as she presses a shoulder against a carved stone piece which may have once been a banister. “So sorry. Should I try to be more cheerful?” The stone piece doesn’t move. She pushes back from it, and claps her gauntleted hands. “Oh, what an exciting adventure we are having!”
“That is not what I mean, Rook, and you know it.”
“It’s just that…” She can’t meet his eyes. “It’s so fitting. That I would be trapped like this. Today. With you.”

He — he was the key. He was the only one who could ever fit the gap he’d left in his wake, still moulded to know all and only his edges. He was one-half of an embrace now left always lingering. He would not, could not, ever come home.
(After Siffrin finds another way to break free of the loops, the party leaves Dormont with one less traveller in tow. Life continues. Isabeau tries to make sense of it all.)

Until, eventually, there's nowhere left to look.

Siffrin manages to escape the loops early. That should be a good thing. Yet, with no answers as to what caused the loops or what made them end, he lives constantly afraid that they will start again. But it's fine. They just need to keep smiling and pretending everything is okay. Surely they can keep that up. Surely, they won't break.

Summary
“There are things I miss sometimes. Things I think were good about the loops.” You manage to say.
“Okay…” Isabeau responds, his tone lingering in the air.
“Is that bad of me to think?” You mumble, and he stills for a moment.
It's hard to focus on only the bad when you know there was good that came out of it too. Siffrin realizes just what the loops brought to them and struggles to see the good in themself as they think on all the good The King brought to their life. Odile helps them process this.
