Summary
“Kon is getting an apartment,” Tim says and his fingers are digging into his lifeline. “He needs a roommate.”
He doesn’t, but Tim prays he won’t mind.
“Where?” Dick demands then winces at his tone.
“San Francisco,” Tim answers.
Tim was never meant to be a permanent part of the Batfamily. He took on the role of Robin because Batman needs a Robin, but Batman has a Robin and even more people in his corner now and he doesn’t need Tim.
or Tim is used to putting his wants up on a shelf in favor of what the people around him need, but maybe it’s time for him to take them down, dust them off, and see what’s inside.

Kon glares. “You don’t have to be a dick about it.”
“Oh, like you’re never a dick,” Tim says, rolling his eyes. “You’ve always been the one on my case the most about it, and you started all this in the first place when you disobeyed my orders and put us all in danger, so why would you think we’re good now?”
“I didn’t say we were good,” Kon bites out. “I wanted to apologize, actually, but you’re making it really fucking hard.”
“Oh, now you want to apologize,” Tim says bitterly. “Now that you know my name and you got what you wanted, I get an apology, huh?”
“Tim,” Kon starts, and Tim growls.
“Don’t call me that,” Tim snaps.
or Young Justice has a trust problem after Apokolips. Tim doesn't know where he stands with the team anymore after learning that half of them mistrust him. He doesn't know where he stands with Kon in particular.

“Um,” Rumi says and avoids eye contact. “Not exactly.”
“What does that mean?” Zoey demands and then starts coughing. “Wrong pipe,” she says when her members reach for her. “I’m fine.” She coughs a little more before turning to Rumi with narrowed eyes. “What does that mean?”

Tim wasn’t afraid until he started to lose feeling in his right leg. He can’t get up. He can’t call for help. No one is around to hear him.
That’s when he started to call for Kon. He didn’t know what else to do. He is out of options, and Jason isn’t stopping, and Tim just needs Kon to hear him.
Expect Kon isn’t coming.
Kon said he’d always come if Tim called, and now he isn’t coming.
Tim is alone.
“Kon, please,” Tim begs.
Kon is taking some time away from the team after Lex mind-controlled him when the Tower gets attacked. Tim, unfortunately, pays the price for this.

Kon sighs, eyes glued to his feet. His hand is still encircled around Tim’s arm, trailing up to the bend of his elbow.
“Also, who has the worse track record with dying, between the two of us?”
Well, Kon thinks, that’s—that’s rude.
“For fuck’s sake.” Kon throws his head back and groans, but it’s nullified by the upward twitch of his mouth. “That was terrible.” And definitely meant to lighten the mood. Tim is playing him like a harp, and he knows it; he grins back, wriggling free to knock Kon on the shoulder.

"Crap!" the food truck worker shrieks in alarm. "Don't hurt him, Superman, he's just a kid!"
Clark . . . pauses, then looks up from the kid that he is currently pinning into the street as said kid struggles underneath him.
"'Hurt him'?" he asks in reflexive confusion, and then realizes how batting a teenager around like a person-shaped cat toy and pinning him to the street hard enough to crack it probably actually looks to an outside observer.
. . . um.
Whoops.
"Um," he starts awkwardly, and then the kid slips his pin while he's distracted and throws his arms around his neck with a gleeful laugh and a bright grin.
"Dad!" he crows triumphantly, and hugs Clark harder than literally anyone has ever hugged him before.
